Surgical Antiseptics

Surgical antiseptics are used for, surgical scrub and pre-operative body washing in hospitals and health care settings. They are used to reduce the risk of infection during surgery. Chlorhexidine exhibits excellent activity against gram-positive and good activity against gram-negative vegetative organisms and fungi.  Chlorhexidine is typically used in concentrations of 2% to 4% for hospital scrubs and hand washes.
